The Wild Health Virtual Summit will take place via Webinar and you can select one or more days to attend. Each day will take place from 10:30am – 5:30pm EST.

We are starting telemedicine!
At Sona, the process is going to be that we would like to START all visits as telemedicine visits (even for things like sprains and lacerations). There will still be some people who will need in person visits after the initial telemedicine visit. When an in person visit is needed, we will coordinate an appointment time with you. We feel we have an obligation to keep our community, patients, and staff safe. These procedures limit the amount of in person contact that we have in our community and clinic, and also help to keep our most vulnerable families, friends and neighbors safe from novel Coronavirus.
Testing criteria for COVID19 has changed (again) and is now limited to:
Health care workers and people who live in communal settings (jails, long term care, shelters) who have fever, cough, or shortness of breath
People with more severe symptoms (symptoms of COVID19 with shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chest discomfort, or altered mental status)
COVID19 test results are taking longer than expected. We will call immediately for all COVID19 test results. Our call volume is very high and we are nearly as interested as you are about getting results, so will call immediately when they are back.

We don’t know all of your challenges and circumstantial stressors during this time. However, given the situation, we know many, if not most of you, are possibly struggling with the health and economic realities of the Covid- 19 pandemic. We share in this struggle as our organization is also wrestling with this sudden change in circumstances.
Thankfully, after working long hours for the past 14 days, I had a few hours on Saturday with my family. Unfortunately, due to my exposures, they have to maintain some distance from me. But we had an opportunity to be together as a family which felt wonderful to me. There are many strategies to maintain health and wellbeing during these challenging times. We have sent messages to our patients about how important it is right now to get sleep, control stress, exercise, eat nutritious foods, and consider adding immune support supplements to your regimen.

This time with my family evoked a strong sense of peace as well as a feeling of contentment that transcends all of the uncertainty. We want to reiterate that our practice is here for you. Our main clinic is open and available to see you in person or via telehealth for any concerns other than symptoms concerning for Covid-19.
Our walk-in clinic at Sona Pharmacy is open 7 days a week and can provide scheduled evaluation for Covid-19 as well as other urgent care services. We can provide you with ongoing support for medical needs via our telehealth platform.

Dr. Vickery’s current supplement list during the pandemic:
Designs for Health Quercetin + Nettles – 3 capsules daily (Nettles are a source of vitamin C)
Vitamin D plus K2 5000 units- one cap twice a day
Pure Vitamin A (has vitamin a from cod liver oil and palmitate)- one cap twice daily
Hepatothera Forte (NAC, lipoic acid, Milk Thistle)- one cap twice daily
Natural Factors (or any organic brand) Oil of Oregano- one dropperful diluted in water daily
Nordic Natural Omega 3,6,9- 2 caps daily with food
Bio Schwartz or other brand turmeric curcumin- 3 capsules with dinner
Elderberry extract, capsules or syrup
You can also eat more fish and take less Omega 3’s or cook with more turmeric and reduce the supplement. Liver is a rich source of vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin K, and other nutrients.
I also have a small scoop of mixed mushroom powders each day (Chaga, Cordyceps, Lions Mane, Reishi, Turkey Tail, Maitake) – I use my friend’s brand- Ageless Energy
Due to my occupation, I am actively using these supplements and other strategies to strengthen my immune system. This is not all necessary. For those that can stay home, washing your hands, reducing worry and stress, proper breathing, exercise, sleep, and eating nutritious whole foods is sufficient. This is an opportunity to practice lifestyle changes that support a healthy body and mind both during this pandemic but also for the future.
